It all started
almost 40 years ago with my granddad's kodak box camera in the zoo.
I've travelled through the photographic jungle on my own - without
having any experience or photographic education when I started.
During the past 20 years I have learned a lot und experienced with
all kinds of techniques, subjects and ideas. after all there are
just two favourites of mine, that still remain in my head and my
heart. architecture and landscape will always have a special place
in my photographic heart. I really appreciate the peace and qietness
being somewhere all alone, composing a great landscape photograph
... but I really love classical portraiture photography - especially
in b&w. it is always a true challenge to show other persons
how they appear to me - and not how they would probably like to
be seen by others or themselves.
During the 90's
I studied photography at the "Neue Kunstschule Zürich"
and a few years ago I joined the "Syndikat klassischer Fotografen"
a group of Swiss photographers that are well-known for their high
quality work.
A few years
ago I had my first exhibition in the gallery "Werkstattladen"
in Winterthur, showing my Bretagne landscape work which was simply
entitled "Stone-Age". In 2005 there was an exhibition
of the "Syndikat klassischer Fotografen" at the "Kraftwerk"
in Schaffhausen and in december 2006 a series of my nude portraits
has been shown at Switzerland's largest photographic exhibition,
the photo'06 in Zurich (Maag Areal).
In 2006 I was
awarded by PHOTOSUISSE
with the first prize in the categorie b&w portrait and in spring
2007 I have won the first prize in the category b&w sport -
again with a portrait..
My work has
been sold to private persons only ..... so far. Some of my "Menschenbilder"
can be seen at Saatchi's
Gallery.
